The Home Options Studio

Process

From uncertain idea to elegant direction.

You do not need to arrive with a finished vision. In fact, most homeowners come to us because they know a space could be better, but they are not yet sure what that should look like.

Our process is intentionally refined, practical and personal. We visit the property, listen carefully, assess the area, and help you understand what could be achieved. You leave with a clearer sense of direction and a more polished way to move forward.

The consultation journey

Step one

Tell us which area you want to transform.

This may be inside, outside, around the pool, in the garden, or across a lifestyle zone.

A short note describing the space, the way you live in it now, and the way you wish you could. This is enough to begin.

We take a brief and translate it into something you can select from

Brief, written or spoken. No formality required at this stage. We will translate the brief into something the studio can act on.

Step two

We visit your property.

A seasoned building and landscaping consultant reviews the space in person.

The studio comes to you. We walk the area together, look at the way the room or zone is used today, and identify the opportunities that are not yet visible to you.

On-site

Approximately 90 minutes. The visit is unhurried. We bring measure tape, sketchbook, camera and decades of practice.

Step three

We explore the possibilities.

We consider layout, use, access, presentation, materials, lifestyle and long-term value.

This is the studio's working phase. Behind the scenes we test ideas against the constraints and ambitions of your property, and curate a small set of options worth showing you.

Studio

Sketches, notes and discussions internal to the studio. We hold ourselves to a high bar before any option reaches you.

Step four

You receive visual direction.

Plan-style concepts and artist impressions help you understand how selected options could look and feel.

Not a single rendered image. A considered set of options, presented so you can compare, react and refine. The aim is clarity, not a sales pitch.

Deliverable

Plan sketches and artist impressions, formatted for sharing with builders, designers, architects and trades.

Step five

You move forward with confidence.

Use the ideas to brief your builder, landscaper, architect, designer or trades with greater clarity.

Whether you proceed with us, with another team, or hold the work for a future season, you leave with a clearer point of view than when you began.

Outcome

A direction you can act on. Better briefs. Better quotes. Fewer surprises. A finished space that matches the intent.
